Easter in Munich – our suggestions for a great holiday

Yellow and purple tulips in front of the New Town Hall in Munich.

The first flowers of spring are beginning to sprout along the river Isar and in the English Garden, cafés are opening their outdoor terraces – so it seems like spring has arrived in the capital of Bavaria.

This weekend, Munich will offer many opportunities to have an enjoyable time as the warmer weather begins. The holiday weekend is packed with great events which local folks and visitors to the city can enjoy in equal measure. Here at this issue of our Platzl magazine we tell you what you should not miss during the Easter holidays in Munich.

The Olympic Park

First of all, we would like to introduce you to an event that has long been an integral part of the Easter program in Munich: the Easter Festival in the Olympic Park. Great games, exciting stories and lots of tasty delicacies await you here, and rides and fairground attractions under the Olympic Tower offer exciting fun for young and old.

Easter at the Visitors' Park

The somewhat different Easter event will take place at Munich Airport on April 1. The whole family is welcome to go on an exciting Easter egg discovery tour in the visitor park. Be patient and keep your eyes open, as the little delicacies can be hidden all over the grounds. Children who are interested in the operation of the airport are cordially invited on a free Kids Airport Tour.

Easter fun at the zoo

A visit to Hellabrunn Zoo in Munich is always a good idea. A colorful world of adventure awaits you, where you can discover the diverse animal world. As well as exploring the enclosures, you can also get up close to the animals in the petting zoo. Whether big or small, animal lovers of all ages will get their money's worth here.
