Dijana’s Platzl Tip: A Spring Walk Along the Isar with the Perfect Finish

What does my perfect spring day look like?
Quite simple: The day starts with a leisurely breakfast on Fraunhoferstraße. There are countless great cafés and breakfast spots here – perfect for easing into the day and taking your time.
Well fueled, you grab a coffee to go and head off towards the Isar.
What makes this route so special?
The walk takes you along Reichenbach Bridge, right by the Isar – one of the most beautiful ways to experience Munich from its relaxed side. The water, the sun, the many people বাইরে – that typical Munich feeling sets in instantly.
The highlight awaits in the Rosengarten: Right now, the roses are in full bloom, creating a truly special atmosphere. Perfect for a short break, soaking up some sun, and simply enjoying the moment.
Why is this the perfect city getaway?
Because everything is so uncomplicated: no big plan, no stress – just head out and enjoy the city. The mix of good food, movement, and nature makes this little trip the ideal weekend or after‑work activity.
And along the way, you’re reminded just how beautiful Munich can be right on your doorstep.
And how do you end the day in a relaxed way?
The perfect ending almost suggests itself: enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer at the Josefa Bar.
My personal tip:
It’s best to start in the morning, when things are still a bit quieter – and then just go with the flow. No time pressure, no fixed route, just enjoy the walk and the atmosphere.
A small Munich tip with a big impact – perfect for sunny days and good vibes.
